Remarks

• medium sized pectinid, normal adult sizes between 30-45mm.
• colour mostly orange-red, brown-purple or rarely white, yellow specimens are one-of-a-kind but exist.
• closely related to the other Caribbean members of the genus: Caribachlamys ornata and Caribachlamys sentis
