Remarks

• adult size between 55 and 80 mm
• colouration in different shades of brown
• both valves have about 20 internal ribs, outside they are smooth
• closely related to Euvola laurenti (Gmelin, 1791) from the same locality but the hinge line of the right (lower) valve is more U- shaped than E. laurenti.
