Remarks

• small pecten usually about 15-25 mm in height
• surface covered with numerous fine ribs with sharp scales
• Laevichlamys aliae (Dijkstra, 1988) is closely related to this species but the riblets are less defined and the scales are not that big and sharp
  
• only found from the Philippines
