Remarks

• medium sized pectinid (45-70 mm) mostly red-brown or pink coloured left valve, right valve tan to yellowbrown
• left (upper) valve is less convex compared to the right (lower) valve
• could be confused with Leopecten diegensis (Dall, 1898) found from California (United States) but stillmani has more ribs (+-21) which are less square compared to diegensis (+-18)
