Remarks

• very colorful shell with big nodules on the ribs .
• The species from West Africa is sometimes named as Nodipecten nodosus gabonensis (Nicolay, 1981).
• In the Caribbean province there is also a very close species of the same genus: Nodipecten fragosus (Conrad, 1849)
