Remarks

Right (lower) valve is very convex, left valve concave.
14 - 17 strong ribs on left (upper) valve

Ribs of the right (lower) valve are pronounced and divided with 2 or 3 interstices.
Pecten erythraeensis Sowerby II, 1842 is closely related but the ribs on the right valve are smooth and less pronounced.
