Remarks

• small to medium sized pecten up to 45mm
• often orange coloured sometimes with some white or red maculation
• mostly found in deep water from New Zealand
• rather variable pectinid with broader than high radial ribs (typical dichroa form) starting from an early stage of growth to smaller angulate radial ribs (taiaroa form)
